Bio:
"Ben Ray is the songwriter and producer behind the project name First Turn Fold. He grew up in the tiny town of Abbeville, South Carolina, surrounded by a music-loving family. In his teens he began experimenting with producing electronic music and techno, but moved into an indie rock-electronic hybrid by the time he finished college. He now spends his time in Chattanooga, Tennessee enjoying the growing art and music community there. He spends his time writing music both for himself as First Turn Fold, as well as producing short film scores for fellow artists and animators on the side."

"Based in Oakland, California and fronted by singer and guitarist May Black; Spider Heart are a four piece content on shredding up the rock rule book. Theirs is a sound akin to the fire and fury of Babes in Toyland... Had Kat Bjelland recruited a soft vocal and driven nails into the band’s bass amp. There’s also a tinge of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club to their instrumentation, giving away their stature on their local scene. Spider Heart is very much a West Coast band.
Spider Heart formed in 2011, when Black joined forces with guitarist Rip Reed and drummer Julien Bloit. Taking inspiration from the likes of classic American punk and rock musicians like The Stooges, Patti Smith and The Cramps; they also note the more modern efforts of The Kills and The White Stripes as an influence.
Last year saw the release of the band’s debut album Under the Gun. April 2014 will bring a new EP from the band entitled DIRT, and featuring 5 to 6 new songs."
